Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, the number of blood donors has continued to decline, resulting in the Thai Red Cross Society's National Blood Center becoming short on reserve blood. Therefore, on World Blood Donor Day, which falls on June 14 of every year, Chia Tai Company Limited, Thailand's leading innovative agricultural company, encourages employees nationwide to join "Chia Tai Volunteer Project" and donate blood to the Thai Red Cross Society's National Blood Center, as well as to the blood donation service centers in upcountry. In addition, Chia Tai offers 250 boxes of Chia Tai Home Garden ready-to-plant Microgreen giftset to be used as souvenirs for general blood donors, as well as providing monetary contributions to support the Thai Red Cross Society's operations.

Mr. Prawin Khurowat, Chief Financial Officer, Chia Tai Company Limited, said, "Chia Tai Volunteer project is the company's CSR initiative that allows Chia Tai employees to participate in doing good deeds to give back to society and contribute their part to community development. We have gathered healthy employees to donate blood together for this blood drive event in a bid to assist in increasing blood reserves and providing the opportunity to save human lives. In addition, we provided the Thai Red Cross Society with the ready-to-plant Microgreen to be given to other blood donors. This benevolent initiative firmly underscores Chia Tai's commitment to uplifting the quality of life of people on a sustainable basis."

The project has successfully recruited Chia Tai volunteers across the country to donate a total of 117 units of blood in celebration of World Blood Donor Day. Those who are in good health and meet all of the physical requirements can volunteer to donate blood at any time to help patients live a longer and better life at the National Blood Center or 12 national blood donation service centers across the country, as well as blood service branch hospitals under Thai Red Cross Society in Bangkok.
