This strategic partnership underscores a shared commitment to environmental sustainability, with the initiative projected to reduce carbon emissions by 74 metric tons annually, equivalent to the greenhouse emissions from a car making 176 round-trips from southern to northern Thailand. By integrating green transportation solutions, Boots and DHL are taking a significant step toward low carbon logistics, reinforcing their joint dedication to sustainability.

Mr. Mark Koprowski, Managing Director of Boots Retail Thailand, stated: "We are proud to partner with DHL Supply Chain Thailand to introduce a fleet of 100% electric vehicles to deliver our medicines, healthcare and beauty products from our warehouse to local Boots stores daily."

"Thailand is increasingly focused on improving its air quality and this initiative not only supports this direction but also aligns with Boots broader mission of integrating sustainability into every aspect of our business. We remain committed to reducing our carbon footprint by minimizing emissions whilst ensuring the highest availability and quality of our products offer to our customers," added Mr. Koprowski.

With the addition of these EVs to the current fuel-efficient fleet, Boots Thailand and DHL Supply Chain Thailand are setting a new benchmark for sustainable retail logistics - ensuring that essential healthcare and wellness products reach consumers efficiently while contributing to a cleaner, greener future.

"As a trusted partner of Boots Thailand, we are proud to support their sustainability journey. At DHL Supply Chain, we are also driving tangible change - including our commitment to achieve 30% sustainable drives and fuels across our global fleet by the end of 2026, in line with our global Green Transport Policy. Collaborating with like-minded partners like Boots Thailand, who share our vision for low emission supply chains, accelerates this progress. Together, we are turning our sustainability ambitions into tangible action, delivering emission reduced solutions that benefit our businesses and reduce our environmental impacts on the planet," said Mr. Steve Walker, Chief Executive Officer, DHL Supply Chain Thailand Cluster.

The three EVs utilized in this initiative are designed for high-efficiency urban deliveries, offering:

  • A travel range of up to 250km per charge
  • Rapid charging capability - fully recharged in just one hour
  • Compact design for easy navigation in urban areas
  • Lower carbon emissions and noise pollution, allowing for 24/7 operations without disrupting local communities

This strategic partnership between Boots Thailand and DHL Supply Chain Thailand sets a new industry benchmark for sustainability in retail distribution. By leveraging cutting-edge green logistics solutions, both companies are redefining the future of retail supply chains - creating lasting environmental and community impacts.
