KBank has introduced new uniforms and polo shirts for employees in celebration of its 80th anniversary, under the concept of "SMART, MODERN, and SUSTAINABLE." The designs were developed and refined through employee feedback. With KBank's responsibility towards environmental stewardship, our employees were invited to participate in the design process of the uniforms and polo shirts, which are made with eco-friendly materials that emphasize functionality and wearer mobility. This initiative aims to boost employee confidence in delivering excellent service and leaving a lasting impression on customers, reflecting the Bank's commitment to providing sustainable value to all stakeholders.
The new uniforms and polo shirts are made primarily from PET plastic bottles that have undergone an upcycling process. This process transforms the bottles into eco-friendly recycled fabric fibers, helping to reduce plastic waste that affect the environment by more than 970,000 bottles. This reduction is equivalent to lowering carbon dioxide emissions from driving by more than 20,830 kilometers, or mitigating environmental impact on par with planting more than 73 rai of forest. These figures are based on the first production batch of 68,887 pieces manufactured between 2024 and 2025, using reference data from the Thailand Textile Institute. Additionally, the new uniforms are easier to care for and iron, saving time and energy. They are also comfortable for wearers and environmentally friendly, reinforcing the Bank's commitment to achieving its transition plan towards Net Zero.
In addition, the Bank places great importance on and cares for its employees, starting with listening to feedback from employee representatives who came together to propose ideas for a design that meets real-world usage needs. The ideas were combined with a fashion perspective from ASAVA, a leading designer brand, which helped enhance the concept by creating smart, modern, comfortable and eco-friendly designs. They allow Bank employees to feel agile and confident while performing tasks, promoting a professional image for all genders and ages. The outfits can be customized and mixed to suit individual preferences, reflecting the Bank's respect for diversity. Moreover, the Bank will host a launch event for the new uniform and polo shirt designs, focusing on employee involvement. The event will include a fashion show with employee representatives from the Head Office and branches nationwide showcasing uniforms that prioritize flexibility and versatility that represent the Bank's pride and contribute to delivering impressive services to customers and society.
