GC's credit rating is AA(tha) with a "Stable" outlook, and Fitch Ratings (Thailand) assigned the credit rating of the subordinated hybrid debentures at A+(tha) on November 28, 2024.
Mr. Titipong Julapornsiridi, Executive Vice President - Finance and Accounting of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), revealed that GC is ready to offer the subordinated hybrid debentures, which the issuer has the right to redeem early ("subordinated hybrid debentures"), with a fixed interest rate of 5.25% per annum for the first 5 years and 6 months after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the registration statement and draft prospectus. The subordinated hybrid debentures will be offered to the retail investors (Public Offering) during December 4-12, 2024, through 12 financial institutions. GC believes that this subordinated hybrid debentures will be a stable and valuable investment option during the end of this year for retail investors who have been awaiting bonds from PTT Group.
On November 28, 2024, Fitch Ratings (Thailand) assigned the credit rating of the subordinated hybrid debentures at A+(tha), reaffirming GC's strength and commitment to becoming a leading petrochemical company in Southeast Asia (Petrochemical Hub in Southeast Asia).
This subordinated hybrid debentures aims to enhance the flexibility and strength of the capital structure to support sustainable growth of GC in the future. The purpose of the subordinated hybrid debentures issuance is to repay existing loans, both domestic and international. This subordinated hybrid debentures will be accounted for 100% equity in accounting, similar to subordinated hybrid debentures offered by other companies. It is expected to receive 50% equity credit from the three global credit rating agencies: 1) Moody's Investors Service, 2) S&P Global Ratings, and 3) Fitch Ratings Inc., known as the "Big Three" in credit rating agencies.
Retail investors can subscribe with a minimum amount of 100,000 Baht and in a multiple of 100,000 Baht. The subscription period is during December 4-12, 2024.
