Bangchak Sriracha Public Company Limited (BSRC) has unveiled a new distribution channel for Marine Gas Oil (MGO), transitioning from traditional land-based transportation to shipping by sea. This move aims to enhance convenience for customers and broaden its market reach. Since initiating MGO transportation by sea in August 2024, BSRC has achieved cumulative sales of over 2,100,000 liters to date, with sales volumes continuing to grow steadily.
Mr. Warakorn Kosolpisitkul, Senior Executive Vice President, Marketing Business explained, "Bangchak Sriracha Refinery is a world-class complex refinery, capable of processing various types of oil with exceptional efficiency. We identified a significant market opportunity for MGO, which is in high demand. Leveraging our strategic location along the Gulf of Thailand, near Laem Chabang Port in Chonburi, we have initiated direct maritime transportation routes. This enables us to extend the distribution network extensively and effectively."
BSRC's primary clientele for MGO includes leading international maritime transport companies, such as container ships, bulk carriers, refrigerated cargo ships, and oil or liquid tankers.
MGO is a low-emission marine fuel that complies with modern environmental standards. This aligns with BSRC's vision to innovate sustainable products and services, striving toward a low-carbon business model and shaping a sustainable future for all.
