KTC sees an impressive 500% increase in credit card spending in China during the first half of 2024. To further enhance the travel experience for members, KTC is offering special privileges including a 3% credit cash back for those visiting China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, and Singapore. This offer is available to members who use any KTC UNIONPAY credit card and KTC PROUD UNIONPAY cash card from July 1 to September 30, 2024.
Mr. Tosapong Rangkawara, Head of Credit Card Marketing Division, "KTC" or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, announced a 500% increase in KTC credit card spending in China, driven by visa exemption measures between Thailand and China. To enhance customer experience, KTC is offering a 3% credit cash back on purchases made with any KTC UNIONPAY credit card and KTC PROUD UNIONPAY cash card at stores in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, and Singapore (excluding online spending) from July 1 to September 30, 2024. Members are required to complete a one-time registration for each card at www.ktc.co.th/upieastasia, either before or on the day of the transaction.
Mr. Tosapong highlighted that using any KTC UNIONPAY credit card in China offers numerous benefits. Members can easily pay for products and services via QR PAY, eliminating the need to carry large sums of cash. Furthermore, they will enjoy increased security and a reduced foreign currency conversion fee of 2%, compared to the usual 2.5%.
