Microsoft Empowers Public Sector to Drive Sustainable Development with AI at AI Summit for Public Sector

Microsoft hosted the AI Summit for Public Sector, underscoring the transformative potential of cloud and AI technologies to accelerate sustainable development within government agencies, state enterprises, and public services. The event showcased Microsoft's industry-leading innovations and solutions as catalysts for driving growth, enhancing quality of life, and advancing Thailand's digital economy and Digital Government vision.

Microsoft Empowers Public Sector to Drive Sustainable Development with AI at AI Summit for Public Sector

The AI Summit for Public Sector featured insightful presentations and discussions on key topics, providing IT leaders and experts from the public sector with actionable insights and fresh perspectives on leveraging cloud, AI, and security solutions. A key focus was placed on building secure and interconnected operations that enhance efficiency, streamline public service delivery, and effectively address the rapidly evolving challenges of today's digital landscape. Microsoft highlighted solutions, including Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Azure OpenAI Service, demonstrating how AI can empower users and organizations across all sectors to unlock new levels of productivity, creativity, and agility, ultimately driving impactful outcomes.

A high-level panel of leaders from organizations and government agencies convened to discuss the imperative of harnessing AI to transform public sector operations. The panel included: Professor Wisit Wisitsora-at, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society; Associate Professor Dr. Tiranee Achalakul, Director of the Government Big Data Institute (GBDi); Dr. Chaichana Mitrpant, Executive Director of the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA); and Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary-General of the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA).

"Integrating AI innovation into government processes unlocks new opportunities for Thailand, both in terms of effective policy implementation and enhancing our economic competitiveness on the global stage," said Professor Wisit Wisitsora-at, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. "The Ministry is committed to transforming the bureaucratic system and government towards a digital-first future, aligning with the global shift towards digitalization. We encourage all government agencies to embrace this change by recognizing and adopting AI as a powerful tool for enhancing work efficiency. This requires a concerted effort to integrate data within organizations to fully leverage the power of AI. We extend our gratitude to Microsoft for their unwavering support of Thailand's technological advancement through various collaborative initiatives, including this impactful AI Summit for Public Sector."

Through Microsoft's work in real-world environments with customers around the world, Copilot works under clear guidelines for responsible use. In addition, Microsoft introduced Thai enterprise customers to other additions and capabilities of Microsoft Copilot - including Security Copilot, the AI companion for cybersecurity experts, and the ability to develop Copilots tailored to meet your organization's specific needs through Azure OpenAI Service and Copilot Studio.
