BTS Group, in collaboration with its partners, invites everyone to the "Health, Happy, and Merit" the 16th Vegetarian Food Festival with Nuduan from 7-9 October 2024.
Under the theme "Healthy, Happy, and Merit", the 16th "Vegetarian Food Festival with Nuduan will be held from 7-9 October 2024 from 10:00 AM at the walkway connecting the BTS National Stadium Station (W1). Organised by BTS Group, in partnership with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Sahapat Group, MBK Center, and Siam Piwat Company Limited, the event aims to make merit for and pay tribute to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his royal highness's 72nd birthday on 28 July 2024. Through this event, the public is encouraged to participate by abstaining from meat consumption, adhering to moral conduct, while making merit in the process, promoting better public health through the consumption of nutritious vegetarian food. As part of the event, over 7,000 special vegetarian meals by the event's partners will be distributed to the public, free of charge, over the course of three days. Furthermore, an official opening ceremony will be held on Monday, 7 October 2024, which will feature a Bian Lian show, or a traditional Chinese mask-changing performance and an Auspicious Cloth Dance, for the public and attendees to enjoy.
BTS Group and its event partners have brought an array of delicious vegetarian dishes from popular restaurants and vegetarian products for the public, which includes the following:
- BTS Group will provide vegetarian dishes from famous restaurants, including vegetarian noodles, Hong Kong-style fried noodles, spicy stir-fried spaghetti, vegetarian fried rice, green curry fried rice, vegetarian rice with spicy dressing, vegetarian fried larb, vegetable-stuffed steamed buns, and a variety of Thai desserts. These dishes come from restaurants like Chef Man, Tang Toh Kin, Khun Khaek's Kitchen, and Khao Kaeng Saneh. For this year, Super Turtle Public Company Limited, a subsidiary of BTS Group, will join the event for the first time, with the daily provision of 1,000 mushroom pies from Turtle Shop.
- Sahapat Group will be providing vegetarian products, such as Vegetarian Mama Instant Noodles, Farmhouse Vegetarian Bread, Corn Soy Milk, Bud's Veda Bella 100% Vegan Ice Cream, King's Bridge Drinking Water, and vegetables and fruit juices from Thai Sun Foods.- MBK Center will contribute with their famous vegetarian restaurants like Rabiang Boon and the Pathumwan Princess Hotel, along with vegetarian desserts from Cheng Sim Ei. The menu will include vegetarian stir-fried noodles, vegetarian soba noodles, assorted Thai sweets, Ruammit, Salim Mock Pomegranate Seeds coconut in sweet coconut milk and Thai-style Lod Chong dessert sets.
- Siam Piwat Group will hand out meal boxes which will consist of vegetarian fried rice and Hong Kong-style stir-fried rice noodles from Tasty Congee & Noodle Wantun at Siam Paragon.
The 16th Vegetarian Festival with Nudan initiative is testament to BTS Group's longstanding dedication to raise public awareness to the importance of environmental and social sustainability to promote a better quality of life. To emphasise on the company's sustainable practices, only eco-friendly and biodegradable F&B packaging will be used throughout the event.
