To further strengthen its presence in Latin America, Kaspersky is opening new office in Colombia. This move aims to provide an increasing number of the company's clients and partners in the region with access to a comprehensive cybersecurity ecosystem, addressing the full spectrum of cybersecurity needs for organizations and users to ensure a cyber immune future.
The new office in Bogot? - the company's third location in Latin America - joins the existing ones in Mexico City and S?o Paulo, and was inaugurated by Kaspersky's founder and CEO Eugene Kaspersky, who emphasized the strategic and economic importance the region holds for the company:
"Our presence, commitment, and focus in Colombia aims to provide organizations in Latin America with the power, expertise, and knowledge in cybersecurity to fulfill our promise of building a safer world for everyone."
The newly established Bogot? office will coordinate business efforts for Northern Latin America (NOLA), a region comprising Central America, the Caribbean, and Colombia.
"The opening of this new office in Latin America is part of our natural evolution in the region, where we have been operating for 16 years with local staff, protecting companies from regional threats and expanding the business for the benefit of employees, business partners, and clients," said Claudio Martinelli, Managing Director for the Americas at Kaspersky. He emphasized that one of the features most valued by Latin American clients is the company's flexibility in managing data both on-premise and in the cloud, according to their preferences. "This way, we ensure that data processed does not leave their countries, respecting local data protection regulations."
Daniela Alvarez de Lugo, General Manager for NOLA at Kaspersky, stated that the opening of this new office reinforces the company's commitment to partners and clients in the region and is a testament to the strategic and economic importance that Colombia holds in Latin America: "This country, this region, comprises growing markets where cybersecurity represents a highly-relevant business opportunity."
Currently, Kaspersky has 150 employees across the Latin American region, including local members of the Global Research and Analysis Team who research and counter cybersecurity risks on the continent. The opening of the new office is part of the company's global business strategy that focuses on the markets where it sees most potential for the future business growth. Kaspersky currently operates in more than 200 countries and territories and has over 30 representative offices across the globe.
