Central Pattana announces "Pride For All" 2024, positioning Thailand as world pride landmark with June Celebrations at Central Shopping centers nationwide

Featuring special collections from leading brands, these celebrations are expected to attract over half a million Thais and tourists across the country throughout June.

Central Pattana plc, Thailand's number one leading real estate developer for sustainability and operator of Central shopping centers nationwide, collaborates with partners including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Thailand, and public-private sector leaders such as the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Spicy Disc Record Co., Ltd., Muse by Metinee, Bangkok Pride, and Galderma Thailand to announce the transformation of Central shopping centers nationwide into venues for celebrating Pride Month, a global celebration of LGBTQIAN+ pride. This initiative is part of Thailand's Pride Celebration 2024, "Pride For All," aiming to spotlight Thailand on the global stage and pursue the hosting of World Pride 2030. Additionally, it seeks to drive the Thai economy and tourism in Q2.

In 2023, over 160,000 tourists joined Pride festivities at CentralWorld, with 520,000 attendees across Central shopping centers nationwide. This year, attendance is anticipated to surpass half a million."

"In addition, We recognize the importance of the Rainbow Economy, a group with high purchasing power and financial potential. According to data from the TAT, this group has a spending power 40% higher than the average tourist, luxurious lifestyles, high brand loyalty, and plays a significant role in driving the economy. Globally, there are over 500 million LGBTQIAN+ individuals, with 288 million in Asia and approximately 4 million in Thailand. It's projected that this population will expand to 1 billion worldwide by 2050. Thailand earns approximately 2.3 trillion baht from tourism within this group, ranking first in Asia and fourth globally, making it a major tourism market."

Central Pattana is hosting Thailand's Pride Celebration 2024, "Pride For All," throughout June at Central shopping centers nationwide. This includes Central Phuket, Samui, Pattaya, Marina, Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Airport, Khon Kaen, and more.

The event features six highlights, namely:

1. City Pride Parade: Scale up the grandeur with rainbow alliance parades at over 17 branches nationwide. The most anticipated event of the year hailed as the Talk of The Town, has even caught the attention of global media like The Guardian. Muse by Metinee this year is themed "Rhythm of Pride," featuring over 500 celebrities, giant pride wings, and a celebration of marriage equality with an epic finale scene for over 200,000 LGBTQIAN+ participants and a 200-meter-long rainbow flag at CentralWorld front plaza from May 31 to June 1, 2024. Central Pattaya will host Thailand's largest LGBTQIAN+ celebration on June 22, 2024, with a parade of over 100 organizations and more than 10,000 participants as part of the PATTAYA PRIDE MONTH celebration throughout June. Central Samui will hold the largest parade on the island and a Music Festival that will take over the entire island, making it the biggest event in Southeast Asia, attracting over a hundred thousand tourists and organized by RS Multi X. Central Phuket, in collaboration with the local government, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), and partners, will host a Proud Pride parade throughout the old town of Phuket (Dragon Square - Thalang Road). Other tourist city branches, including Chiang Rai, Korat, Nakhon Sawan, Chanthaburi, Khon Kaen, and Hat Yai, will also join the celebration.
2. Pride Market: at 8 branches including centralwOrld: Galderma presents "The Single Market" for the second time, themed #SingleDoesn'tPose by Spicydisc. expanding to fill the entire CentralWorld space for 3 full days, featuring 200 renowned vendors, fashion, food, love-themed fortune-telling, and concerts by Spicydisc artists. Starting from May 31 to June 2. Also at Central Rama 9, Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Airport, Khon Kaen, Phuket, Hat Yai, and Marina.
3. Pride Performance: Featuring events like the fashion show "The Pride Thailand x Looker," Drag Queen Show, Cabaret Show, and talks by famous influencers at Central Chiang Mai. Enjoy performances by top showgirls and concerts by renowned artists at Central Rama 9, Chiang Rai, Korat, and Pinklao.
4. Pride Party: Featuring events such as "TALAD SODE Bar" at centralwOrld and a Private Party with Aof Pongsak at Central Phuket.

Pride Contest: Showcasing LGBTQIAN+ talents and self-expression with events such as lip-sync contests at Central Chiang Mai Airport, Ayutthaya, and Rayong; the MISS TEEN TRANS RAINBOW SKY 2024 contest by Rainbow Sky Association at Central Hat Yai; the Drag Queen Star contest at Central Marina; and the Miss Isaan Pride Festival 2024 contest at Central Khon Kaen.
6. Pride Iconic Voices: Featuring famous artists and celebrities from the LGBTQIA+ community who stand up and celebrate Pride Month. Highlights include: Central Bangna: Meet the duo Keng-Namping from the show "DMD Friendship the Reality.", Central Rama 9: Join a discussion on marriage equality with three celebrities: Nopphanat Chaivimol (Off), a renowned Y-series director; Dr. Natthaworn Noppakhun (Toktak A4), a famous fortune teller and advisor to the parliamentary committee on equality; and Rasamee Khae Faakuelon, an artist and actor., Central Korat: Visit the rainbow neon field landmark with famous TikTok star Director Tangmo, who has over a million followers., Central Pinklao: Meet Nont Tanont.
