Gongkan x Pixel Paint introduce 'Galactic Konquest,' a digital art project by Gongkan, which will take you through black holes to conquer galaxies.

Pixel Paint, an expert in art and Thailand's NFT market, joins hands with Gongkan - Kantapon Metheekul, a world-renowned Thai artist, to create a project of the future with a concept of 'Galactic Konquest' that will take the audience to space and conquer a new star, through never-before-seen Gongkan's art on canvas and digital art. Members of the media, along with distinguished guests, are among the first audience to take the journey and explore space, digitally and physically, with official supports of The Standard Bangkok and Dewar's Blended Scotch Whisky.

Galactic Konquest takes the audience through space by interacting with Gongkan's various characters in the sci-fi doomsday story, taking on the new challenge in the NFT market and displaying a limitless world of art that is not confined within the idea of digital art as we know of. NFT, in fact, is also a door which leads to other creative works beyond modern art.

Naphat Worawongwasu, Managing Director of Pixel Paint, speaks of the inspiration behind this creative project: "Pixel Paint has been developing this project for about two years. We bring together Gongkan's unique Teleport works and create a sci-fi storyline about a secret agency called 'Galactic Konquest' that has a human Board of Director who works with allies from other planets. This said agency divides itself into three departments; 'Exploration' explores new planets, 'Innovation' invents and creates, and 'Conquest,' a commando unit, protects the Galactic Konquest universe. We'd like to invite you to imagine a parallel dimension where the earth is dying because of global warming that destroys the environment and threaten living organisms. The only way to survive is to migrate to other planets."

Moreover, Galactic Konquest is also a new take on art exhibition which combines digital and physical art in one event, displaying some of 222 pieces on canvas by Gongkan's collections which is from the artist's first NFT collection, and on an interactive screen.

"This event will not feature any merchandise. We merely aim to introduce our first project through visual art, so our guests can take in the concept of Galactic Konquest which is different from regular art exhibition. The event is in the form of an exclusive party and guests are from many circles, collectors, investors, web3 space people, fashionistas, as well as celebrities and artists. We hope all participants are able to embrace art pieces differently and understand that NFT is not limit to digital art anymore. Galactic Konquest is held on Friday 4 August, 2023, at the 3rd floor meeting room, The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon.This is, indeed, a significant first step in Thailand's art industry that will change the outlook of NFT art and inspire more creative projects in the future.
