Shell has collected data on its greenhouse gas emission reductions, beginning with the 575.38 kWp Solar Energy Project, which involved the installation of solar panels on the rooftops of the company's headquarters and parking lots in Bangkok, following TGO's standards. The project adhered to TGO's footprint evaluation guidelines and achieved a total reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to 1,253 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) from March 1, 2019 to March 31, 2022.

Receiving the carbon credit certification from TGO serves as a testament to Shell's unwavering commitment to its Powering progress strategy. Shell's goal is to transition to a net-zero energy business across its operations, encompassing both products and services. This approach will not only drive customer-centric growth but also ensure alignment with society and stakeholders, all while reducing environmental impacts through an approach that emphasizes avoidance-reduction-compensation.
