Held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre or BITEC (Hall 99), both consumers and trade visitors were given an insight about Taiwanese products and services showcased by 210 exhibitors using 250 booths on the B2B platform as well as interactive platform for both two nations.
Nearly 30,000 consumer and trade visitors were awed by the various pavilions, especially the eye-opening Taiwan Excellence, Halal and technology using green initiatives. Most importantly, the expo was amounting to potential businesses worth up to US110 million dollars.
TAIWAN EXPO 2018 was held the first time in Thailand and was considered as an important milestone in the development of Taiwan's trade relations with its neighboring countries. This came about with the implementation of Taiwan's New Southbound Policy to create mutually beneficial partnerships with its new southbound partners. The expo is not only showcasing products, services and information but also creating platforms for Taiwan and Thailand with further cooperation and interaction.
Mr. James C.F. Huang, Chairman of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) disclosed that Thailand is one of the practical countries for Taiwan to continue develop trade relations. "We received positive feedback from both trade and consumer section in Thailand, it would have potential for next year edition".
