Photo Release: FrieslandCampina, DPO and KU Boosting Thai farmers’ capabilities with “The National Curriculum for Dairy Development”

FrieslandCampina Thailand PCL, the producer and distributor of Foremost dairy products, led by Dr. Olarn Chowiwattana, Corporate Affairs Director, together with the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization, led by Dr. Narongrit Wongsuwan, Director and Kasetsart University, led by Asst. Prof. Somkiert Prasanpanich, jointly announced the fully developed "The National Curriculum for Dairy Development". The curriculum will be used to train and develop more than 8,000 dairy farmers in the supply chain networks of Foremost and DPO. To help dairy farmers "trim down costs while boosting productivity and income", the curriculum integrates the know-how from all relevant areas of expertise in nine topics that can be adopted by existing and new, inexperienced dairy farmers alike. Its contents range from foundation knowledge and add-on techniques to efficient farm management and knowledge that will be useful to employees of related government and private organizations. The company is confident that it will help boost the quality of dairy harvests from Thai dairy farmers to an internationally-preferred standard in two years.
