Considered by many to be one of the world’s finest chefs, Gagnaire has multiple restaurants worldwide, in cities such as Paris, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul, Dubai and Las Vegas, and is revered for his ability to maintain impeccable standards at so many restaurants scattered across the globe.
However, Gagnaire hasn't garnered such high esteem from the culinary world solely for being a brilliant restaurateur.
Gagnaire was one of the first chefs to embrace the idea of food as art—like a painter, constantly evolving, he continues to stand in the forefront of the international culinary scene and remain relevant in an ever-changing world, tearing at the conventions of classic French cooking by introducing jarring juxtapositions of flavors, tastes, textures, and ingredients.
On his website Pierre Gagnaire gives his mission statement as the wish to run a restaurant which is 'facing tomorrow but respectful of yesterday' ("tourné vers demain mais soucieux d'hier").
Gagnaire’s Dinner’s will be served in Fireplace Grill, Bangkok’s premier Grill restaurants since 1966, available from2-4 September 2015. Priced at Baht 13,500++ per person including a seven-course wine dinner featuring the chef’s signature dishes paired with Louis Jadot wines.
