Asia’s top integrated resort presents breathtaking entertainment and educational events to diversify Macao tourism

The Venetian(R) Macao-Resort-Hotel will bring three world-class attractions to Macao for the first time during the fall and winter seasons. The universal appeal of Titanic The Exhibition, The Human Bodies Exhibition and the Winter in Venice extravaganza is set to fill the coming months with breathtaking and unprecedented experiences for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who will head to Sands China’s Cotai Strip(R) development during this period.

“We are thrilled to announce the arrival of three spectacular events never seen on this scale ever before in Macao. From the grandeur and majesty of the Titanic, the education and wonder of human bodies to the awe-inspiring magic of Winter in Venice encompassing a world-class light and sound spectacular, these debut attractions will be a must-see experience,” said Brendon Elliott, Vice President of Sales and Resort Marketing, Venetian Macau Ltd., at a press conference on Friday at the Venetian Theatre.

“The Venetian Macao strives to bring to Macao a wide variety of the best entertainment options, from major sporting events and international superstar concerts to internationally-acclaimed award shows. These upcoming events are attractions unique to the region and ones that members of all the family can enjoy at The Venetian Macao. We aim to diversify the city’s tourism industry and make the Cotai Strip Asia’s number one destination for entertainment and leisure. The impressive Titanic The Exhibition, the educational The Human Bodies Exhibition and the magnificent Winter in Venice event will no doubt create a buzz in Macao and in the region, attracting people of all ages and greatly enriching visitors’ experiences at The Venetian Macao,” Elliott added.

The press conference was chaired by Brett Ingram, Associate Director of Events Marketing, Venetian Macau Ltd; Tom Zaller, President and CEO of Imagine Exhibitions Inc., the creator and developer of Titanic The Exhibition and The Human Bodies Exhibition; and Professor Dr. Ronald S. Wade, Director of the Anatomical Service Division, School of Medicine at the University of Maryland, who gave a brief introduction on the specimens from The Human Bodies Exhibition. The event was also attended by around 300 members of the local and regional press.

Titanic The Exhibition

On the 100th anniversary of her maiden journey, the timeless story of the Titanic will come to life at The Venetian Macao this October. For the first time ever in China, visitors can witness the compelling story of the Titanic told as never before. Marvel at the splendour of this famed ship, while walking through the beautifully and accurately recreated ballroom, 27-foot-high Grand Staircase, First Class cabin and the ship’s promenade deck. These spectacular recreations provide a home for over 400 replica artefacts from the Titanic, stories of her passengers and crew, as well as original objects used in James Cameron’s blockbuster motion picture Titanic. To be held from October 25, 2012 until February 24, 2013 at The Venetian Macao CotaiExpo? Hall F, Titanic The Exhibition tells the real story of the legendary ship, and the people who made their first and only voyage on April 10, 1912 from Southampton, UK to New York City, U.S.A. It is one of the finest and you do not want to miss it.

The Human Bodies Exhibition

One of the most successful exhibitions of all time, The Human Bodies Exhibition features human bodies as you have never seen them before. Captivating the public because of the beautiful, simple way it reveals the complexity that lies just under our skin, it is a highly educational exhibition not just for children, but also for the whole family and for all ages. A journey of discovery, The Human Bodies Exhibition engages viewers at the same time as it educates and empowers them, by showing the effects our lifestyle and the environment have on every part of the human body. Moving from gallery to gallery dedicated to each function of the miraculous human system, over 200 individual organs and full body specimens will be on display to help illustrate how our fascinating body works. More than 30 million people around the world have already seen this incredible educational exhibition, and now it is finally coming to Macao, between October 25, 2012 and February 24, 2013 at The Venetian Macao CotaiExpo Hall F.

Titanic The Exhibition and The Human Bodies Exhibition are both supported by the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO).
