สถาบันเอเชียตะวันออกศึกษา ร่วมกับคณะสังคมวิทยาและมานุษยวิทยา มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ และ The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) จัดสัมมนาทางวิชาการ เรื่อง “Strengthening Trade & Economic Relations between Korea and Thailand ” ในวันพุธที่ 29 มกราคม 2546 ตั้งแต่เวลา 10.30 - 17.15 น. ณ ห้องดุสิตธานีฮอลล์ โรงแรมดุสิตธานี กรุงเทพฯ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเป็นการศึกษาและระดมความคิดเห็นเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือตลอดจนความสัมพันธ์ในด้านต่างๆ ระหว่างประเทศทั้งสองที่ผ่านมาและแนวโน้มในอนาคตรวมถึงการพัฒนาบทบาทและความร่วมมือความเชื่อมโยงกับองค์กรและกับกลุ่มประเทศในภูมิภาคต่าง ๆ ต่อไป ทั้งนี้จะมีผู้เข้าร่วมงานประกอบด้วยข้าราชการจากกระทรวง ทบวง กรมต่างๆ นักธุรกิจทั้งชาวไทยและต่างประเทศ สื่อมวลชนและผู้ที่สนใจโดยทั่วไป (สัมมนาเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ)
