As temperatures in the city soar this summer, Ventisi Restaurant at Centara Grand at CentralWorld presents a refreshing escape. Guests can cool off with the traditional Thai delicacy, Khao Chae, available alongside the restaurant's international lunch buffet.
Khao Chae, which translates to "rice soaked in water," is a time-honoured dish traditionally enjoyed during the hot season. It features steamed rice steeped in iced, jasmine-scented water and served with a selection of savoury accompaniments, including shrimp paste balls, stuffed sweet peppers with pork and shrimp, sweet shredded pork, sweet shredded fish, deep-fried shallots, and stir-fried sweet radish.
Originating centuries ago as an offering by the Mon people during Songkran, the Thai New Year, Khao Chae became a cherished dish in the Thai royal court, valued for its cooling and refreshing qualities.

As Songkran festivities unfold, Ventisi's Khao Chae is a must-try dish to complement the celebration. This special offering is available from 5-20 April, making it a highlight for those marking the festival in the city.
The lunch buffet is available daily at THB 1,455++ per adult and THB 728++ per child (6-11 years), from 12.00 - 15.00 hrs.
