Generali Thailand has joined The Human Safety Net (THSN), a global network of people helping people. Through this initiative, the company has partnered with the Community Children Foundation (CCF) to launch the "SMART SEED" Project, supporting vulnerable Gen Y and Gen Z parents in Thailand by developing parenting skills and cultivating a new generation for the sustainable growth of society. A pilot model will be introduced in Samut Prakan Province, with Generali Thailand employees and representatives encouraged to volunteer in organizing activities.
Mr. Arsh Kaumi, Country Manager & CEO of Generali Thailand, said, "Generali has been operating in Thailand for over 22 years and recognizes its role in contributing to Thailand society. To have a more meaningful impact, Generali Thailand is introducing The Human Safety Net (THSN) in Thailand, a global network unlocking and amplifying the potential of people. Supported by the Generali Group, this movement is active in over 26 countries. Under this initiative, Generali Thailand has partnered with the Community Children Foundation (CCF). Through this collaboration, the "SMART SEED" project was initiated in Samut Prakan Province, a key industrial zone, with plans to extend to other provinces to build a sustainable society.
The SMART SEED project is dedicated towards young parents from Generation Y and Generation Z, facing economic hardships and lacking access to quality education. This project aims at enhancing care and development of their children aged 0-6 years, which is a vital stage for lifelong learning and growth. We will create a suitable environment, design educational programs, and support parents based on the "6 Seeds" concept, which promotes children's development in various aspects. This approach includes EAT, which educates parents on healthy eating habits; HUG, which supports emotional development and mental well-being; STORYTELLING, which fosters language skills and creativity; PLAYING, which stimulates physical and social development; DANCING, which builds confidence and focus; and DRAWING, which encourages imagination and creativity. These activities will be piloted in participating schools in Samut Prakan Province.
Additionally, Generali Thailand offers employees and its partners the opportunity to volunteer in field activities to have a positive impact on the lives of people."
The official launch of the SMART SEED project was recently held, attended by Mr. Roberto Leonardi, Generali Asia Regional Officer; and representatives from The Human Safety Net; Mr.Yves Carbonnelle, Head of Engagement and Communication, Mr. Alan Barbieri, Head of Programmes, Ms. Aimee Vachon, Programme Manager, and Dr. Bunjongsek Supsopha, National Director of the Community Children Foundation. The event offered a chance to exchange ideas and strengthen collaboration to improve Thai children's quality of life and sustainable development, taking place at the Generali Thailand headquarters at Park Silom.
