Huawei Awarded at the CSO30 ASEAN Awards, Continues to Lead in Cybersecurity in SEA and Hong Kong

Mr. Surachai Chatchalermpun, Country Cybersecurity and Privacy Officer at Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., received the award as a representative of Huawei, stating: "It is our great pleasure to be recognized as one of the 30 winners at the Top CSO30 ASEAN Awards 2023 for our continued efforts in the region. This is an honor awarded to cybersecurity leaders who have driven business value, demonstrated leadership, and influenced positive change across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. We are also honored to have joined Air Vice-Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary General at the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), in receiving the award in the "Public-Private Partnership" category for our collaborative efforts in elevating the skills of future IT talents in Thailand to avoid shortages in human resources, especially in organizations that are involved with the nation's core infrastructures. This reflects our ongoing commitment to Thailand's digital transformation and our continued mission to 'Grow in Thailand, Contribute to Thailand' by strengthening Thailand's cybersecurity ecosystem and incubating the country's future IT talents."

Nominees for the CSO30 ASEAN Awards 2023 were judged based on cybersecurity initiatives introduced over the past two years that have changed the way businesses stay protected. Nominees were also evaluated based on how they collaborated with stakeholders and influenced them to improve cybersecurity and resilience within their enterprises. In addition, judges also assessed their contributions to the wider cybersecurity community beyond their organizations.

Local and global cybersecurity are among the top priorities for Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and the company continues to strengthen Thailand's cybersecurity by providing leading technologies to both public and private sectors. Its efforts also cover partnerships with the NCSA and various organizations in facilitating IT skill competitions as well as other campaigns that elevate and incubate the next generation of IT talents and support Thailand in becoming the future Digital Hub of ASEAN.
