SCB appoints Orapong Thien-Ngern as President and Chief Technology Officer, gearing up to become a fully integrated digital bank

Speaking about the new executive appointment, Siam Commercial Bank Chief Executive Officer Mr. Kris Chantanotoke said, "The Bank's ongoing investment in its IT infrastructure is part of its digital transformation effort, which aims to meet the evolving service landscape and client requirements in the digital age. With more than 30 years of expertise in the banking and finance business, manufacturing, and information technology, Mr. Orapong Thien-Ngern is well-suited for this role and ready to be a technological leader for the Bank, driving the change toward digital banking for SCB. Mr. Orapong previously held top executive roles at prominent companies like Microsoft (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Accenture Thailand, and was also formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Venture Co., Ltd., the first company in Thailand to use blockchain technology to build a groundbreaking procurement platform. This innovation had a profound impact on the way Thai businesses operated, as well as the entire supply chain. Importantly, Mr. Orapong has extensive knowledge of the Bank's business, digital ecosystem, and client needs from his time as President of Siam Commercial Bank.
