SCB teams up with Sasin to boost cashless society through “Sasin School of Management for a Digital World” project “Ready to introduce unprecedented Cashless Minimart Sasin Scan N’Go in Thailand”

To consolidate its leadership in the digital banking business, Siam Commercial Bank has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University, one of Thailand's most prestigious graduate schools, for integrated learning and development of the digital platform-based ecosystem in educational institutions. The cooperation is being forged as part of the "Sasin School of Management for a Digital World" project initiated under the "FIRST INTO THE FUTURE" concept.
Mr. Paron Israsena Na Ayudhya, Director of the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration, said: "Today is another important day in the history of Sasin, long recognized as a pioneer in management education. We are Thailand's first educational institution offering an MBA Program in English, with almost all our lecturers coming from overseas and applying international education standards. More importantly, we are the country's first and only graduate school accredited by both AACSB and EQUIS."
Mr. Paron said that Sasin is ceaselessly forging ahead to develop education, cooperating with Siam Commercial Bank for integrated digital transformation of the graduate school, which will greatly benefit all persons concerned, including lecturers, executives, students, personnel, and alumni. The plan will also boost networking. Most importantly, students will enjoy added convenience with cashless transactions, the use of the Sasin-SCB App for managing class schedules, and the full benefit of virtual classrooms through which students can access learning anywhere in the world.
SCB President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Arthid Nanthawithaya said SCB, as a digital banking business leader, is very pleased to play a role in fostering the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration's proactive policy, which will contribute to propelling the Thailand 4.0 strategy under which digital technology is given an important role in all segments of the country.
The cooperation through the "Sasin School of Management for a Digital World" project initiated under the "FIRST INTO THE FUTURE" concept will drive Sasin to the digital education institution model in Thailand. Under the agreement, SCB and Sasin will collaborate to develop a digital platform-based ecosystem in which students and personnel will obtain direct experience, in preparation for entering into a cashless society through various forms such as Cashless Minimart Sasin Scan N'Go, Thailand's first staff-less smart minimart, the Sasin Virtual Classroom, and Smart Canteen where visitors can use SCB Easy Pay for QR code scanning for food payment. In addition, the bank plans to provide Sasin with an integrated financial management system so the management team has access to financial transactions more conveniently, safely, and efficiently.
