Photo Release: KBank develops K PLUS SHOP – an app for receiving payment via Alipay QR code – targeting 9 million Chinese tourists visiting Thailand each year

          Recently, Mr. Patchara Samalapa, (left) KBank Senior Executive Vice President, and Ms. Pipavin Sodprasert, (right) Thailand Country Manager of Ant Financial Services Group – the operator of Alipay digital wallet payment, together gave a press conference on the readiness of the K PLUS SHOP app – Thailand's first mobile banking app that accommodates payment with Alipay QR code, which is intended to facilitate Chinese visitors to Thailand, totaling more than 9 million a year. The service, which made its debut at Chatuchak Weekend Market, will be available nationwide in October. On this occasion, Adj. Asst. Prof. Dr. Siripong Preutthipan, (center) Director of the Land Development Project Administration Department, State Railway of Thailand, was present to witness the event marking the start of cashless payment at Chatuchak Weekend Market.
