In financial year 2013, Jetstar Asia welcomed six new A320s as part of a fleet renewal exercise,” said Mr Pasupathi. “This financial year, we will have 19 aircraft with an average fleet of 3.3 years, making our fleet one of the youngest in Singapore. “The new aircraft will deliver lower costs and an improved onboard experience for our customers headed to popular destinations in Southeast Asia and beyond. “Our focus on expanding our Southeast Asia network and schedule gives our customers as well as our codeshare and interline passengers, greater choice and access to some of Asia’s most exciting holiday destinations,” said Mr Pasupathi. Boosting services to popular destinations in Cambodia, Indonesia and China will see Jetstar Asia carry more than four million passengers before the end of 2013. Mr Bara Pasupathi added “I’m delighted that Bali and Phnom Penh will now have daily flights operating out of Singapore from the end of October. “Previously, passengers travelling to Phnom Penh would need to transit in Siem Reap. With direct flights to Phnom Penh, there will be more seats available from Singapore and travellers will now be able to enjoy more time exploring their destination,” said Mr Pasupathi. Mr Pasupathi added that the airline will enhance flights to existing destinations and fly to new destinations in Asia in the near future.
