Ranked in top 3 of Network Switch Market after Upgrading Representative Officeto Company Limited in Thailand
Allied Telesis reported the business performance for the first half of 2013 in Thailand with overwhelming growth in opposite directions of current market. The company is now ranked in the top 3 of network switch market in Thailand after upgrading the status from representative office to company limited. Aiming to penetrate market more fiercely, Allied Telesis will highlight AMF technology to simplify network management and officially announce new services to achieve sales growth on 30% this year.
Teerayut Hongkananukraw, Thailand Country Manager of Allied Telesis (Thailand) Co., Ltd.,, said “Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Japan, Allied Telesis is one of the world's leaders in network market with the position in the top five leaders for global network market, It also has research and development centers around the world in Japan, the United States, New Zealand, Italy, Singapore and China, etc.”
“With the polices from headquarter to drive the growth of network market in ASIA, the status of Thailand representative office was upgraded to company limited last year with direct report line to headquarter. Moreover, Allied Telesis established the first network technology center in Thailand as the first of its kind in ASEAN with investment value of over 10 million baht. All these factors contributed to smoother operations and flourishing business performance as seen by the achievement of over 70% sales volume in the first half of this year from the total 2013 target.”
“This overwhelming growth is achieved by more investments in Thailand and the expansion of IP Surveillance market that Allied Telesis carries the most comprehensive equipment and network solution to serve the high-performance digital surveillance camera. In addition, more of our customers from Japan have entered and expanded their investments in Thailand so they needed more installations and enhancement of network solutions.”
Regarding the business policies for the latter half of 2013, Teerayut, noted “We will focus more on ‘Total Cost of Ownership’ which is the emerging trend in Japan by presenting that our customers in Thailand should not only consider the performance of network products but also the functional factors such as electricity cost, maintenance, installation space and human resources. Recently, we introduced ‘Allied Telesis Management Framework’ (AMF) Technology which is a software to simplify the network management issues by reducing the skill level required to maintain the network. In case there is a problem with network switch, the AMF installed in Allied Telesis network switch products will automate the required functions of the newly-installed switch. This is different and less complex than SDN (Software Defined Networking) Technology which requires an external controller for basic software to connect to network.”
“Furthermore, we will launch 2 new services. The ‘Net. Cover’ service to replace new product to defective unit within 4 hours or by the next working day as per level of service agreement such as 24 hours, 7 days (24 x 7) and 8 hours, 5 days (8 x 5). Customer can choose to perform installation on their own or let us do the job. On the other hand, the ‘Net. Professional’ service entitles customers to services provided by Allied Telesis as per their requirements from designing to installation.”
For the target market, Allied Telesis focuses on five target groups including 1. government sector 2. service providers 3. hospitality sector 4. healthcare sector and 5. Japanese companies. The company will primarily focus on healthcare sector and Japanese companies as the headquarter in Japan is well aware of the ever-increasing presences of Japanese businesses in Thailand who expect the same service levels they get in Japan. The healthcare sector showed a great success in Japan last year. Therefore, Allied Telesis is committed to presenting this solution to develop and promote business growth in Thailand.
“This year, the projection of overall market value for network products is consistent from last year at USD 180 million or 5.4 billion baht. We expect sales growth at 30% due to the readiness of our staff with outstanding skills on network technology and the comprehensive range of products for all requirements from entry-level to top-grade available with cost-effectiveness for all industries. Our products deliver high performances. These factors will enable Allied Telesis to gain more market share and hit sales volume as per annual milestone,” added Teerayut
Currently, Allied Telesis has two distributors in Thailand including Avantgarde Co., Ltd and Nine Distribution Co., Ltd.
