“CMO” announces its being the ASEAN leader winning image promotion campaign - “27th Myanmar SEA Games Lucky Cards Campaign” - for the 27th SEA GAMES with the complete communication ranging from marketing strategy, all kinds of advertisements, event organizing to stimulate the excitement and pride of being the host of the 27th SEA Games. CEO is delighted as being a part of the biggest SEA Games in 44 years of Myanmar. It is also an opportunity to announce the potentiality of the Thai event organizer in the overseas. The Company expects the target growth of 10% in the next 3-4 years.
Mr. Sermkhun Kunawong, Chief Executive Officer of CMO Public Company Limited (CMO), the leader of the holistic communication business in ASEAN said that the Company was entrusted by Hello Madam Media Group Co., Ltd., a media company in Myanmar which received an approval from the Ministry of National Sports of Myanmar, to manage the marketing campaign for promoting the biggest sport event in 44 years of Myanmar - “27th Myanmar SEA Games Lucky Cards Campaign – to create the excitement to the people in Myanmar in order to prepare and to be proud of being the host of the 27th SEA Games at the beginning of this December.
The 27th Myanmar SEA Games Lucky Cards Campaign is to increase the awareness of being the host of the 27th ASEAN sports competition event – SEA Games - at Naypyidaw to 60 million Myanmar people. The awareness promotion event will be performed through the lucky card activity. On the card is included the details of the SEA Games with a serial number to identify lucky winners when redeeming the rewards after the lucky winners are announced. The prizes are worth more than 200 million Kyat. The campaign is on from August 23 – November 30, 2013.
“As the Company is entrusted to manage the campaign to stimulate the SEA Games event, the Company is really pleased and proud to be a part of the great sport event of ASEAN. The SEA Games Lucky Cards campaign is surely create the excitement and pride to the Myanmar people as the host of the 27th SEA Games through the campaign slogan “Proud to be Myanmar, support 27th SEA Games”. The Company has managed from the concept creation, the activity initiation, and the advertising and public relations materials. It is expected that the campaign will generate the revenue of around Baht 30-60 million. In addition, it is such a great opportunity for the Company to expand its business to the ASEAN region”, said Mr. Sermkhun.
Chief Executive Officer of CMO also added that the Company had foreseen the potentiality of Myanmar as the country with growing economy, purchasing power, and the number of the population closed to the number of the Thai population, attracting the Company to do the business in Myanmar. The Company has targeted to receive the revenue from the business in Myanmar around Baht 100 million. At present, the Company has been widely known among private companies and Thai companies in Myanmar. The Company’s SEA Games campaign will expose the Company to other works. The government and the press in Myanmar have started to better know about CMO as the expert of the holistic communication and event company from Thailand. The Company has targeted the oversea revenue at 5% of the total revenue.
“The SEA Games Lucky Card campaign is the initiation of the new phenomenon to Myanmar’s marketing activities, particularly the use of the lucky card and the integrated marketing to attract the interest of the people of which have never been done before. CMO has initiated the position of products, managed distribution channels, advertising such as TVC, including several entertaining activities which well stimulate the attention. Moreover, it is the emphasis of CMO’s marketing position as it is not only the event company but it is also the Company which creates the experience with complete creativity under the concept of 360? Experience Creator of which will widely expand the business scope of the Company,” Mr. Sermkhun said.
As for the oversea expansion plan in this year, the Company will expand to the neighboring countries of CMLV where the Company has organized many important events such as the launching of the inaugural flight Bangkok-Mandalay, Myanmar of Thai Smile Airways of Thai Airways Public Company Limited, the launching of Coca-Cola in Laos, and the press conference of Kubota campaign in Myanmar, etc.
In addition, the Company also has a plan to expand to Indonesia with the cooperation with Indonesia’s biggest company which does the Mice business to work on a big project to be completed within this year. Earlier, the Company organized “Songkran Splendours” in Indonesia.
The expansion of the event business in Thailand to ASEAN has continuously grown. According to the behavior survey in each country, entertainment activities and event marketing in some countries with in the ASEAN group are still outdated. It is such a good opportunity for the Thai business event to take forth the equipment and lighting and sound innovation to foreigners for them to see the capability of the Thai teams whether in the form of mini or big concert and festival events.
“The Company has targeted the total revenue in this year at Baht 1,200 million of which Baht 500 million was achieved in the first half period of this year. The oversea revenue is targeted at 5% of the total revenue. Also, within the next 4-5 years, the oversea revenue will increase to 10%,’ said Mr. Sermkhun.
