TRIPADVISOR PRESENTS TRAVELLERS’ CHOICE ATTRACTIONSNine Major Attractions in Thailand Ranked Asia’s Top 25 TripAdvisor?, the world’s largest travel site*, today announced the winners of its Travellers’ Choice Attractions awards based on millions of valuable reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travellers. In its inaugural year, the awards honour 1,263 of the world’s top landmarks, parks, museums and amusement and water parks. Winners are found in 39 countries around the world including lists for Africa, Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Central America, China, Europe, India, Mexico, the Middle East, South America, the South Pacific, and the United States. The Travellers’ Choice Attractions awards were determined based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews of attractions, featured on TripAdvisor, in each of the categories. Bangkok’s Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), the Grand Palace, Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn), Wat Phra Kaeo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) as well as Chiang Mai’s Wat Phra That Doi Suthep secured 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 21st positions respectively in the Top Asia Landmarks category. Hellfire Pass Museum in Kanchanaburi took the 10th spot in Top Asia Museums category while Lumpini Park was ranked 20th in the Top Asia Parks category. Finally Safari World in Bangkok and Black Mountain Water Park in Hua Hin came in 17th and 20th respectively in the Top Asia Amusement & Water Parks category. “To inspire travellers setting out on summer trips, TripAdvisor has named the top attractions across the globe based on the valuable feedback from millions worldwide,” said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. “Honouring more than 1,200 winners, these remarkable sights offer enriching and entertaining experiences for travellers of all ages.” Top 10 Thailand Landmarks 1.
