Photo Release: HONORARY CONSUL OF ESTONIA IN THAILAND AND EXECUTIVES OF THE REGENTS’SCHOOL VISITED PRESIDENT OF ESTONIA FOR THAI-ESTONIAN ACADEMIC COOPERATION

His Excellency Toomas Hendrick Ilves, President of The Republic of Estonia and Mrs. Evelin Ilves, the President’s wife, welcomed Dr. Virachai Techavijit, Honorary Consul General of The Republic of Estonia in Bangkok and Chairman of The Regent’s School, on his official visit to the Republic of Estonia together with Mrs.Thiphavan Techavijit and Miss Kwanshanok Techavijit.The main purpose of the visit was to further develop Thai-Estonian cooperation in international education and academic exchange. Each year increasing numbers of Estonian students come to Thailand in order to further their studies. This ongoing cooperation has instilled the students with confidence, not only because of the quality of the education they receive, but also because they are equipped with skills in ethics and leadership. Each student is guided in such as way as to be able to put theoretical learning into practice. The Republic of Estonia is one of Baltic countries located in northern Europe and focuses on communication industries and information technology. The Estonian economic growth rate is the highest among the Baltic countries. International education for the youth of Estonia is recognized as an important opportunity that will prepare the new generation with the facility to cope with the country’s continuing economic development in a rapidly changing world.
