NIIT believes in the competency of Thailand teamwork and determines Thailand as a hub to supervise the IT infrastructure system for Eurostar Group as to support the 2012 Olympic Games being held by UK. The value of this contract is Multi Million Pounds. Morris Communications, the leading media organization in USA, prepares to promote Thailand as an IT hub of Asia with the contract valued 85 Million Dollars.
Mr. Rajesh K S the country manager of NIIT Technologies Ltd, - Thailand reveals that recently NIIT signs two new global contracts, which are the IT infrastructure management for Eurostar Group and the IT integration / outsourcing for Morris Communications Group. The Eurostar Group is the large rail service operator connecting all railway routes of the Europe with the UK. Its IT infrastructure system is provided to support the 2012 Olympic Games causing various athletes and tourists all around the world to travel to UK. The company initially prepares this task with the 5-year contract. In addition, Morris Communications Group, the global media organization in USA, signs the same 5-year contract with NIIT by employing Thai teamwork and supervising all tasks from Thailand.
“The reason for choosing Thailand as a center or hub for supervising such global task instead of India or Singapore is that we notice the competency of Thailand. The two main reasons are that we have the most excellent data center located in Thailand and Telecommunication / Internet system of Thailand is qualified and has best prices in this area which is suitable for such global task” Mr.Rajesh said.
Nowadays NIIT in Thailand provides the two main services which are the design of new programs required by customers and the supply of various kinds of software for business section and governmental section. There are 220 employees to support the tasks in this region. In 2005, the company is verified by ISO 27001: Information Security Management System and ISO 20000: IT Service Management Standard in 2006.
