Oracle enables recruitment of 10,000 new hires in time for resort’s opening
Facts
-Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), Singapore’s first Integrated Resort, has deployed a fully integrated suite of Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise modules for Human Capital Management (HCM), Financial Management and Supplier Relationship Management.
- With these Oracle applications, RWS can efficiently and effectively manage their administration for the entire Integrated Resort. This includes the recruitment of staff, management of suppliers as well as transaction records.
- Within a single, unified application, PeopleSoft facilitates RWS’ management and support of numerous business lines including Retail, Hotel Rooms, Food & Beverage, as well as Casino and Asset Maintenance. In addition, RWS can also adhere to a standard accounting structure across all business lines and comply with corporate financial reporting guidelines.
- PeopleSoft Enterprise has substantially aided the administration process for the recruitment of over 10,000 personnel over a short period of time, meeting RWS’ soft opening deadline.
- As a pioneer in this industry, all standard operating processes and procedures were developed from ground upwards. The team designed a common financial accounting structure to effectively track and report on the Integrated Resort’s operations, providing greater visibility into business-critical information.
- Oracle Consulting Services is the sole implementer of this multi-phase project that was awarded to Oracle on 1st December 2008. The first phase of the project for Core HCM and Financial Management went live in just six months, resulting in the smooth opening of RWS on 20th January 2010.
-PeopleSoft Enterprise provides a highly scalable and flexible platform to support future business and personnel growth at the Integrated Resort.
