GE BROADENS APPROACH IN HEALTHCARE THROUGH HEALTHYMAGINATION

Mr. Arun Sharma, President and CEO of GE Healthcare Southeast Asia, recently held the ‘GE Healthcare Day’ under the business strategy of ‘Healthymagination’ to take on the most pressing challenges in healthcare – cost, quality and access - and help people live healthier lives. With Healthymagination, GE intends to assist doctors and hospitals deliver better healthcare to millions more people at lower cost. The global initiative is a new GE business strategy that reflects changing needs and emerging opportunities in healthcare. To achieve the objectives set, GE has committed to an investment of $6 billion over six years to develop innovations that measurably improve quality, access and cost by up to 15 percent with a focus on lower-cost technology, more IT, expanding access, and consumer-driven health.
