As Technicolor Asia (Thailand), a division of Thomson, prepares to launch its new digital intermediate facility at its Bangkok location, new international staff additions have recently been announced to support the new business roll out.
Reporting to managing director Ian Maycock, Andrew Wales joins the Technicolor Asia team as Director of Client Services. Andrew spent the last 13 years at London’s Technicolor lab.
Andrew and the Client Services team will coordinate and execute projects throughout the process at the Thailand lab.
Manager of the new Technicolor Asia Digital Images department, formerly based in New York, is Mike Balabuch who has worked on DI of such films as ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, ‘Prairie Home Companion’ and many others.
Mike brings a wealth of management and workflow knowledge to Technicolor Asia’s new digital facility.
Also joining the digital team in Bangkok is R.G. Parthasarathi (or Partha as he is better known) who takes on the “Conform/Data Specialist” position.
Partha’s extensive digital experience was gained at Prime Focus, Spirit DI and Prasad EFX in India.
Hailing from the Philippines where he spent time at Big Foot Entertainment and Digitraz Sound Productions as well as having worked at Soundfilm, Sydney, Warren Santiago joins the sound team at Technicolor Asia.
Warren is a talented sound designer, editor and mixer.
Managing director Maycock said of the new additions to the Technicolor Asia staff: “As we get ready to launch our new Digital Images facility and retrofit our existing lab, we are bringing on board some of the most talented technicians in post production.
Coming from traditional film finishing, Technicolor brings years of experience into the digital world and the expertise our new international staff brings to the table supports our efforts to offer one stop services providing post production solutions for all of Asia.”
