Singapore-based Call Centre Tops Series of Investments Citrix Systems Has Made in Pacific Region. Investments Come on Back of Impressive Growth for the Company
Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced the opening of a world-class call centre in Singapore. This call centre is the first such investment for Citrix Systems in the Pacific region, and represents one of the four major call centres for the company worldwide. The 40-seat call centre currently employs people possessing multilingual capabilities including Mandarin, Thai, Korean, Bahasa, Cantonese, English and native Australian English.
“We have reached a critical mass of customers that we saw the immense benefits of investing in a call centre for the entire region,” said Dennis Rose, Vice President, Pacific, Citrix Systems. “Our customers, who comprise of mid-tier and enterprise companies, are very conscious about protecting and maximizing their technology investments, and the establishment of the Pacific call centre is specifically focused on giving our growing customer base that investment protection.”
The Pacific call centre currently supports our customers in Citrix Subscription Advantage – a membership program that gives customers priority access to the latest product platform and feature updates. As a result, customers will also enjoy predictable budgeting for Citrix upgrades, without worrying about variable costs throughout the year.
Commenting on the company’s decision to locate its Pacific call centre in Singapore, Mr Rose said, “Singapore emerged as the clear choice for Citrix Systems to base its Pacific call centre. The combination of high value talent possessing not only the technical competency but multi-lingual skills, state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, ideal time zone placement, and pro-business attitude of the Singapore government, were all critical factors that placed Singapore well ahead of other geographies in the Pacific.”
Citrix Systems Enjoys Growth Momentum in Pacific Region
Through 2005, Citrix Systems’ revenues in the Pacific region have grown at an average rate of 36% year-on-year since 1998. “We have made significant investments in the Pacific region over the last 12 months,” said Mr Rose. “Apart from the Singapore-based Pacific call centre, we also established dedicated customer facilities including our Pacific Customer Care Centre and Asia Consultancy Services Practices in Singapore. We have also opened an office in Thailand early last year to support our local channel partners and customers.”
The Pacific Customer Care Centre was established in 2005 to provide a central point of native-language support for customers around the region for non-technical enquiries. Some of the customer care services include subscription renewal, addressing licensing queries, updating customer records and order status. “We aim to provide a level of support excellence that exceeds our customer’s expectations and differentiate Citrix Systems in the marketplace.” said Mr Rose.
Citrix Systems currently employs 445 staff across 15 offices throughout the Pacific region. According to Mr Rose, this represents a trebling of the company’s regional headcount compared to four years ago. 31 of these employees reside in the Singapore office, which is the ASEAN headquarters for Citrix Systems.
