PTT RECEIVES 3 INTERNATIONAL AWARDS FROM ASIAMONEY POLL 2004

Asiamoney Poll 2004 awards PTT three Thailand’s best awards - ‘Overall Best-Managed Companies 2004’, ‘Best Chief Financial Officer’ and ‘Best Investor Relatkons Officer’.
Mr. Prasert Bunsumpun, President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), revealed that the poll conducted for the year 2004 by Asiamoney, a regional leading finance, banking, and investment magazine in Asia, showed that PTT is awarded ‘Thailand’s Overall Best-Managed Companies’. According to the rankings for overall best individuals, Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira, PTT’s Senior Executive Vice President – Corporate Finance & Accounting, is awarded ‘Thailand’s Best Chief Financial Officer’, and Miss Pannalin Mahawongtikul, PTT’s Manager – Capital Market and Investor Relations Division, is selected ‘Thailand’s Best Investor Relations Officer’.
To conduct the poll, Asiamoney invited investors and analysts from leading fund-management firms, hedge funds and brokerages in the Asia-Pacific region to participate in the 13th annual best-managed companies poll. Responses from 192 different institutions were received. PTT was invited to join the award presentation ceremony in which PTT will be presented Asiamoney’s award for the Overall Best-Managed Company in Thailand 2004, Best Chief Financial Officer in Thailand 2004, and Best Investor Relations Officer in Thailand 2004 on February 17, 2005.
In addition, PTT’s affiliates, Thai Oil Public Company Limited and Thai Olefins Public Company Limited, also received ‘Thailand’s Best Newly Listed Company Award’ and ‘Thailand’s Overall Most Improved Company For Best-Management Practices Award’.
Mr. Prasert said the awards winning from Asiamoney Poll both on the rankings for overall best company and for overall best individual is a reflection of efficient and transparent management of PTT and affiliates’ employees. Focusing on good corporate governance, PTT considers employees of PTT and its affiliates the important force in pushing forward sustainable and transparent management within PTT Group. These good practices will lead to a creation of business growth and competitive edge as well as a long-term value for stakeholders of PTT and affiliates. End.
