Japanese Film Festival – New Wave of the 90’s Directors –

The Japan Foundation, Bangkok, Pulp Magazine and Major Cineplex with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Thailand proudly present the Japanese Film Festival from Friday 19 – Thursday 25 November 2004 at Major Cineplex (Central World Plaza). The Japanese Film Festival of this year features a series of films from the “New Wave of the 90’s Directors”. The organizer selects 9 films, new and old, of young-blood directors who have prominent gift to show at Major Cineplex (Central World Plaza) from Friday 19th November to Thursday 25th November 2004. Postman Blues (1997), a stylish film from SABU, a director who has an exclusive style that is famous worldwide. Even though it is not his latest film, the incredible adventure of ‘the postman’ will surely impress the audiences. Another 8 films are all quality works of quality directors such as Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Nobuhiro Suwa and Toshiaki Toyoda. They are acclaimed not only in Japan but also in the international stage. And the ticket will be only for the film to be screened. 3) The next day’s tickets can not be received in advance.
