NEW YORK,March 26--PRNewswire/AsiaNet
PwC Consulting(TM), a business of PricewaterhouseCoopers, today announced that it has begun the process of changing its name and brand identity.
On January 31, 2002 PricewaterhouseCoopers announced that it plans to separate its management consulting business, PwC Consulting, through an initial public offering.
Tom O'Neill, CEO of PwC Consulting, said: "Creating a new name will help differentiate us from PricewaterhouseCoopers and embody the personality, culture and values of our new organization. This is a critical step as we work toward independence. A new name will clearly signal not only our separation from PricewaterhouseCoopers, but also our unique identity in an extremely competitive marketplace."
PwC Consulting will work with global creative services providers to compile name candidates from a number of sources and eventually develop corresponding visual brand identity elements. Concurrently, PwC Consulting is asking its own partners and staff to propose ideas for a new name, which will be incorporated into the overall naming process.
PwC Consulting expects to announce its new name some time later this year.
