Zuellig Pharma Signs Distribution Deal With Baxter Healthcare Thailand

Bangkok--Nov 21--Francom Asia Baxter Healthcare (Thailand) selects Zuellig Pharma to handle the distribution of medical products related to critical therapies to all hospitals nationwide Zuellig Pharma Limited (ZPL), Thailand's leading provider of sales, marketing, information systems and logistical services to multinational healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, has announced the signing of a distribution contract with Baxter Healthcare (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Baxter Healthcare is a global medical products and services company providing all hospitals in Thailand with critical therapies for people affected by life-threatening conditions. These products allow the treatment of patients with conditions such as cancer, trauma, hemophilia, immune deficiencies, infectious diseases, kidney disease and other disorders. Baxter's Fenwal business is also a leading provider of products and services for the collection, separation, storage and transfusion of blood and its components. Under the agreement, Zuellig Pharma will be responsible, as of January 1st, 2002, for the distribution in Thailand of intravenous therapy and anti cancer products offered by Baxter Healthcare. Zuellig will also provide Baxter with associated warehousing, invoicing, and collection services. In addition, the contract calls for Zuellig to support Baxter Healthcare's distribution with Management Information Systems and other information technology services.
