AIR FRANCE: MANAGEMENT AND LARGEST PILOTS’ UNION SNPL SIGN AN AGREEMENT TO END THE DISPUTE

Bangkok--June 11--Air France The Air France General Management and the largest pilots’ union SNPL have just signed an agreement to end the dispute. The goal is to set up a global agreement over several years laying the foundations for stable long-term labour relations. This global agreement aims at ensuring Air France’s development by boosting its competitiveness in today’s market. The pilots will contribute to this improvement by becoming shareholders in their Company in exchange for control over their overall remuneration. Instead of the two-tier pay scale based on the hiring date, there will be a specific career path (junior pilots) for young pilots whose ab initio training has been paid for by the airline. Based on these savings the company will be able to reach its financial objective. As a result of this agreement, the SNPL has asked its members to start flying again so that operations can return to normal as soon as possible.
