Four leading organizations in Thailand's knowledge management sector have joined forces to enhance organizational knowledge management capabilities, driving the country towards a knowledge-based economy and sustainable development. Under the banner of the Thailand Knowledge Management Network (TKMN), this collaboration includes Dr.Tawarat Sutabutr, President of the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD) , Dr.Bovorn Paphatsarathorn, Director of the Knowledge Network Institute Of Thailand (KNIT), Dr. Vincent Ribiere, Managing Director and co-founder of the Institute for Knowledge and Innovation Southeast Asia (IKI-SEA) hosted by Bangkok University and Dr.Amporn Sangmanee Managing Director at TRIS Corporation Limited. The leaders of these institutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster knowledge management processes, encourage innovation, and support Thai organizations in leveraging knowledge for economic and social development. Dr. Tawarat Sutabutr, President of OKMD, emphasized that the collaboration aims to develop and strengthen Thailand's knowledge management network by bringing together key stakeholders from various organizations. This initiative will enhance organizational knowledge capabilities, improve competitiveness, and promote a sustainable knowledge-based economy.

The four organizations will actively exchange expertise, human resources, tools, information systems, media, and academic technologies. Their joint efforts will also focus on knowledge sharing, best practices, and capacity-building programs to empower Thai organizations in effective knowledge management. Dr. Tawarat outlined several key initiatives for 2025, which include : Academic Seminars and Conferences : Conducted both onsite and online, these events will increase awareness and engagement in knowledge management through insights from executives and experts across various industries. Research and Data Analysis: The network will conduct studies, surveys, and data analysis to generate insightful and publicly beneficial knowledge resources. Capacity-Building Programs: Training and workshops will be organized to enhance personnel capabilities in knowledge management, organizational development, and human resource management. Membership Expansion and Awareness Initiatives: Efforts will be made to grow the network's membership base, especially among organizations that integrate knowledge management into their strategic operations. Dr. Boworn Paphatsarathorn, Director of KNIT, highlighted the institute's role in addressing national challenges by mobilizing experts across various sectors. KNIT provides research, academic consultations, and policy recommendations to the government, contributing to economic, social, and political advancements.

He emphasized that transitioning Thailand from a middle-income to a high-income nation requires economic restructuring, social development, and stronger knowledge foundations. He stressed the importance of leveraging intellectual resources from academia, government, private sector, and civil society to create a collaborative knowledge network that drives sustainable national development. Dr. Vincent Ribiere, Managing Director of IKI-SEA, reinforced the institution's commitment to advancing knowledge management and innovation in Southeast Asia. Through globally recognized programs like the MIKE Award, IKI-SEA provides organizations with the necessary tools, expertise, and networks to thrive in a knowledge-driven economy.
