"UP CSV" Creates Shared Value with the Community at Betty Dumen Border Patrol Police School.

On January 21, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, the President of the University of Phayao, delegated Associate Professor Dr. Direk Teeraputon, the Vice President for University Communications, along with university executives, staff, and students, to visit the Betty Dumen Border Patrol Police School in Pong District, Phayao Province. This visit was part of the "UP CSV (University of Phayao Creating Shared Value)" project, which aims to collaborate with various faculties and departments to support and assist underprivileged students and communities in remote areas. The goal is to improve the quality of life for students by providing them with better education and academic resources.

The activities included:

- Dental health check-ups and dental services for children by the School of Dentistry.

- CPR training provided by the School of Medicine.

- Road safety training conducted by the School of Public Health.

- Donation of educational materials, winter clothing, library renovations, and computer support by the School of Education.

- Provision of astronomy equipment, variable star demonstration kits, and beekeeping boxes by the Faculty of Science.

- Training on plant propagation and animal husbandry by the Schol of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

- Donation of essential goods and educational materials by the School of Nursing and the Division of Student Affairs.

- Distribution of clothing and winter supplies by the School of Political and Social Science and the School of Engineering.

- Building repairs and utility maintenance by the Division of Buildings and Facilities.

- Guidance on improving building structures and playgrounds by the School of Architecture and Fine Arts.

This initiative aligns with the University of Phayao's mission to foster collaboration for sustainable social development and tangible support for remote communities and students. Additionally, the project reflects the royal initiatives of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn under the Development Projects for Children and Youth in Remote Areas. Her Royal Highness aims to ensure equal opportunities and comprehensive care for underprivileged children and youth affected by geographic, social, or cultural disparities.
