LINE Launches 'AI Portrait', Realistic Professional Headshots Generated by AI

AI Portrait creates realistic images that look like they were taken at a photography studio, in a variety of poses. Users can get many different professional headshot images on LINE Messenger with just a few clicks, without visiting an actual photography studio.

Users can use AI Portrait directly from the Profile Studio on the profile page of the LINE Messenger app, without downloading a separate app. Users register 10 to 20 photos of themselves and get 30 images in different styles of headshots and different poses.

AI Portrait is a second image generation service on LINE Profile Studio following the recently launched AI Selfie. AI Selfie uses AI to create various images based on a user's face, in different styles such as fantasy and artistic. Compared to AI Selfie, AI Portrait creates more realistic images in high quality.

There are two prices offered, depending on the time needed to create the images: 30 images in 24 hours costs 170 coins, and 30 images in a short time, which costs 340 coins. Users can use this service as many times as they like and the AI technology will generate different results, even if they re-use the same photos. (Pricing and other details subject to change)

Images created with AI Portrait can be used as a profile image on LINE Messenger, or downloaded for use as a background in chat rooms or to be shared on social media to enjoy it with friends.

LINE plans to expand our communication tools using AI and the latest technologies and collaborations, so that users can express themselves in different ways and enjoy talking to their friends with diverse functions.
