Prudential Life Assurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited ("Prudential Thailand") and Eastspring Investments, a leading Asia-based asset manager, donated 4.9 million baht as part of the Prudential COVID-19 Relief Fund to four hospitals namely; Golden Jubilee Medical Center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital of Mahidol University, Vajira Hospital, Hat Yai Hospital and Priest Hospital.
The donation contributes to the construction of Airborne Infectious Isolation Room (AIIR) and Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) Clinics in the four hospitals, providing medical treatment to patients with respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.
Following to the Golden Jubilee Medical Center which had completed the construction of ARI Clinic in October 2020, Vajira Hospital is the second hospital to have completed the construction. At the opening ceremony, senior leaders from Prudential Thailand including Pasalaree Theerasas, Chief Customer Officer, and Saipin Choaknumkij, Chief Government Relations Officer, together with Adisorn Sermchaiwong, Managing Director of TMBAM Eastspring and Thananchart Fund Eastspring, were welcomed by the executives of Vajira Hospital led by Asst. Prof. Jakravoot Maneerit, M.D., Director of Vajira Hospital and Asst. Prof. Anusang Chitsomkasem, M.D., Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Navamindradhiraj University.
The donation is part of the Prudential COVID-19 Relief Fund which provides financial support for communities and the volunteering efforts of its people in Asia, the US and Africa against COVID-19.

The treatment rooms at the other two hospitals - Hat Yai Hospital and Priest Hospital - are currently under construction and due to be completed by early 2021.
