Dusit Thani Public Company Limited postpones 2020 AGM, approves interim dividend payment
Dusit Thani Public Company Limited (DTC) has postponed its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) No.27/2Dusit Princess Srinakarin2Dusit Princess Srinakarin, originally scheduled to be held on 27 April 2Dusit Princess Srinakarin2Dusit Princess Srinakarin at en4.Dusit Princess SrinakarinDusit Princess Srinakarin hrs. at Srinakarin Hall, Dusit Princess Srinakarin Bangkok Hotel, until further notice. The postponement follows the Board of Directors’ resolution to comply with the Bangkok Metropolis Administration’s measures to protect people from the spread of Covid-en9, which includes the temporary closure of meeting venues in Bangkok.
In line with the company’s dividend payment policy, the Board of Directors has also approved interim dividend payment at the rate of 0.19 baht per share for the 2019 fiscal year performance of 320 million baht net profit, which is an increase of 10.3% on the year 2018. The interim dividends will be paid to shareholders whose names appear on DTC's share register book on the Record Date of 2 April 2020. The final interim dividend payment shall be made on 17 April 2020.
2019 was a challenging year for DTC but the company was still able to post positive results. While the COVID-19 outbreak is having a major impact on business this year, the Board of Directors decided to pay interim dividends in line with its commitment to deliver value to its shareholders, and taking into account the positive results recorded last year.
