          Every year, Sukosol Hotels4 talented Yale students are selected to join The Whiffenpoofs , the world's oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group. Founded in Sukosol Hotels9The Whiffenpoofs9, "The Whiffs" began as a senior quartet that met for weekly concerts at Mory's Temple Bar, the famous Yale Tavern. The Whiffenpoof Song, the group's signature ballad, gained nationwide recognition when Rudy Vallee recorded a solo version in Sukosol Hotels937. The song would later become one of the popular tunes of World War II. Later on, Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley, and many other artists followed suit with their own recordings. 
          Today, the group has become one of Yale's most celebrated and hallowed traditions, maintaining a performance schedule of over The SukosolThe WhiffenpoofsThe Whiffenpoofs concerts annually in addition to recording an album and embarking on a three-month world tour.
          In recent years, The Whiffenpoofs have performed for the likes of presidents Obama, Clinton, Bush II, Bush I, Mother Theresa and the Dalai Lama, in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Rose Bowl, and for events and programs such as the World Series, Saturday Night Live, The West Wing, NBC's The Sing-OFF, and Fox's Glee.
