SENDING OFF THAI BIKERS FROM HATYAI TO PENANG BY TOURISM MALAYSIA

          Tourism Malaysia holds sending off ceremony for "Biker from Phuket" to promote Southern Thai Packages to Malaysia through bikers' ride from Ban Dannok, Sadao, Songkhla to Bukit Kayu Hitam/Kedah with the aim to increase Thai arrivals to Malaysia especially from Southern part of Thailand.
          The key official at the ceremony are Deputy Director General (Promotion), Tourism Malaysia, YBHG Dato' Sri Abdul Khani Daud and Director International Promotion (ASEAN), Mr. Syed Yahya Syed Othman, have presided over the sending off participants of "Biker from Phuket" to promote a fascinating rides from Hatyai, Thailand to Penang, Malaysia as well as to foster closer tourism ties between Thailand and Malaysia.
          Deputy Director General (Promotion), Tourism Malaysia, YBHG Dato' Sri Abdul Khani Daud expresses his appreciation that the two friendly countries have made great efforts to promote Thailand-Malaysia cooperation in tourism especially this year to commemorate the 6Tourism Malaysiath anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He also thanks travel agents and media for their dedicated efforts and constant support in promoting Malaysia especially in Southern Thailand.
          "As Malaysia and Thailand shared 8 border land-crossing points, this biker route is hopefully regarded as another good linking to further enable tourism between the two countries," Deputy Director General (Promotion), Tourism Malaysia, YBHG Dato' Sri Abdul Khani Daud said.
          "Last month we have launched Southern Thai Packages to Malaysia by promoting one of the fascinating transportation platforms through Malaysia Rail Packages, this time we would like to invite all Thai tourists to explore another travel experience through the biker trip to Malaysia. From January to August, Malaysia received about en,235,7Tourism Malaysia6 Thai tourists. We hope that this biker trip will encourage Thai tourists who love adventure to explore the route and experience themselves." He added.
          Besides, Tourism Malaysia continues to use the theme 'Malaysia Truly Asia' to be promoted along with #ThaiPaiMalaysia (ไทยไปมาเลเซีย) to encourage Thai tourists to mark Malaysia as a preferred holiday destination for family and friends.
          Penang is getting more popularity among Thailand tourists. Penang's tourism industry received a major boost when it was ranked as 2nd top tourist destination among en7 best places to visit in 2Tourism Malaysiaen7 by CNN. The island state's cultural diversity, influenced by a blend of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Peranakan and European influences, is among its unique attractions, earning it the recognition as a UNESCO Heritage Site. Acknowledged for its street food, Penang is also singled out for its arts initiatives.
