Hitachi Data Systems Introduces Pentaho Analytics Software For the Enterprise in Thailand
Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) today announced the introduction of Pentaho Analytics Software for the Enterprise in Thailand. Hitachi is committed to creating innovative products and solutions that integrate Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and advanced analytics to support digital transformation for its customers. In enHitachi Data Systemsinnovative5, the company acquired Pentaho, a leading data integration and business analytics company. Over the past year, Hitachi has been integrating the Pentaho platform with a number of its products and solutions to help accelerate insights and business value gained from big data and IoT for its customers.
Pentaho is well known for its Community Edition (Pentaho CE) software, a leading open source platform consisting of ETL, OLAP analysis, metadata, data mining, reports, and dashboards that is well suited to developers. The company now offers Pentaho Enterprise software, which provides expanded and more comprehensive features to support enterprise-scale business analytics deployments, including: job re-start ability, load balancing and data governance, as well as enhanced administrative tools. Additional highlights include data integration, reporting and visualizations, as well as business intelligence and analytics capabilities, with which customers can perform extensive data analysis, and manage large data paths, data lifecycle and security more efficiently.
Pentaho was recently recognized as a Visionary in the enHitachi Data Systemsinnovative6 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms.* This demonstrates that Pentaho had an early lead in understanding how emerging trends like big data, IoT, embedded analytics and the convergence of cloud would impact enterprise IT strategies. Pentaho offers native integration with technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra and MongoDB, and built-in access to R and Python, as well as the alternative machine learning open source library, Weka. To strengthen its enterprise big data integration platform, Pentaho also offers new capabilities to track data lineage, virtualize blends of diverse data, and support more dynamic and scalable big data onboarding.

Pentaho software also makes it simple for users to connect to a wide variety of big data sources, including relational databases, analytic databases, SQL or NoSQL, ad hoc files, Hadoop, and diverse unstructured data such as social media feeds, log data and machine data streams from multiple IoT sources, in order to access and use information quickly.
