The Regent’s International School, Bangkok hosts TEDx Talk Dare to dream: How can our passions influence those around us?

          The Regent's International School, Bangkok – a leading international school in Thailand, that proudly bears the motto "Home of Well Rounded Leaders of the Future", was granted a license from TED to host their own TEDx Talk. The talk, TEDx Youth@RegentsSchool, gave speakers a platform to share ideas and inspire.
          Under the topic "Dare to dream: How can our passions influence those around us?", two special guest speakers and six of the international school's students gave talks on varied subject matters and gave the opportunity for international and Thai youths alike to join the event.
          Mr. Attaporn Theemakorn (Num), actor and film director, gave a talk to inspire all audiences from his experiences of doing the best in everything. Khun Num also expressed his quote in life that "All work can be done successfully̷The Regent;you have to start from being happiness in what you are doing". Recently Khun Num was awarded as the best film director, which highlights his working capabilities in this field.
          Mr. Kanatip Soonthornrak (Loukgolf), English teacher and owner of Angriz English school, is very popular among Thai school and university students. Khun Loukgolf shared his experiences that he was afraid to speak English throughout secondary education. However, his change in attitude towards the English language helped him succeed and could be pinned down to 3 important things: positive attitude, passion and knowledge. Khun Lougkgolf now speaks English better and better everyday. Currently, Khun Loukgolf is well known teacher, DJ and brand ambassador of the leading consumer brand. Last but not least, he said that you have to improve, you have to get better and your time will come again.
The 6 students of the Regent's International School that were selected by the school committee to give a talk included:
          - Kee Pupat,Thai student, aged 17 years old, who spoke about 'Asian Stereotypes in the media'.
          - Lita Theng, Cambodian student, aged 16 years old, referred to her past experiences in 'Is charity naivete'
          - Ken Synsukpermpoon, Japanese student and music scholar, aged 16 years old, spoke about 'The Power of Music' and performanced on the violin
          - Magda Banghazal, Kenyan student, aged 16 years old, raised interesting points in 'The only thing dark about Africa is your ignorance'
          - Sonam Dorji, Phutan student, aged 16 years old, shared her ideas on ''Good human values'
          - Daffa Alifan, Indonesian student, aged 17 years old, discussed 'Islam and the media'
