          Jess Barnes brings his Aussie-Influenced European cuisine to the underground cabaret and live music club.
Bangkok, Thailand – After a 2-month hiatus not serving food, to the dismay of drinking patrons and hungry music lovers who haunted the underground bar, Maggie Choo's joins forces with Opposite Mess Hall, Bangkok's favorite hipster canteen for a 3-month popup in lieu of the defunct noodle shop.
          This in not the first collaboration between Jess Barnes of OMH and Sanya Souvanna Phouma, founder of Maggie Choo's. The pair have worked together launching Quince - Eatery & Bar in 2012 and earlier this year in another popup "Big Trouble In Little China" featuring "classic and trashy Chinese food".
          "For this edition of the popup I've asked Jess to go full on with the OMH menu as it would be a shame to restrict the selection to only to Chinese food, whereas his menu at OMH can include Chinese items as well" says Sanya. Asking Jess what the menu will be, he says "It will be a selection of our most popular dishes and a few tricks; lots of fun, bar snacks & drinking food. Think plates of jamon iberico, salt cod croquettes, caviar on yeasted waffles, Ortiz anchovies, our famous baos, crudites with artichoke dip & pecorino, and of course our Marou chocolate tart."
          Opposite Mess Hall opened in 2013 and quickly established itself as one of Bangkok's favorite eateries. In mid-2015 it closed down and although the location no longer exists, the brand is still alive through activities like this popup.
Since opening in 2013, Maggie Choo's has become a Bangkok institution famous for its underground cabaret, legendary jazz, creative cocktail menu and a cinematic atmosphere that evokes the decadence, mystery and romance of 1930s Shanghai.
