Photo Release: GSK receives award for Good Corporate Governance 2014

Mr. Viriya Chongphaisal (Left), General Manager of GlaxoSmithKline Thailand (GSK), a leading pharmaceutical research and development company, receives the “Good Corporate Governance 2014” award from Mr.Panthep Klanarongran (Right). The event was organized by the National Anti-Corruption Commission together with National Good Governance Committee and the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. GSK receives the award for the excellence of its business operation, which emphasizes transparency, equitable treatment and participation.

GSK is the only company in the Thai pharmaceutical industry to win the Good Corporate Governance award, which recognizes the company’s good governance that adheres to the principles of accountability and responsibility, transparency, and following a Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics. GSK’s strong sense of corporate responsibility is further reflected in the company’s ongoing programs under its “Access to Medicine” initiative that help ensure greater availability of medicines for the ultimate benefit of Thai peoples’ health and to improve their quality of life, which in turn enhances the sustainable development of the Thai public health sector.
