British Airways today announced that Thai students purchasing the airline’s special student fares to the United Kingdom are entitled to an additional piece of checked baggage of 23 kilograms free of charge.
The student fare, starting from just THB 25,500, is valid for purchase from now until 31 December 2012 for outbound travel until 31 December 2012. This offer is open to any Thai student with a valid UK student visa.
“We want to do what we can to lighten the load for Thai students as they travel for the school term, holidays, and visit throughout the year,” said Sriram Narayan, British Airways Country Manager, Thailand, Vietnam. “With this offer, students travelling to the UK can take with them up to 46 kilos as checked baggage, allowing them to carry more academic and personal supplies on their journeys.”
What’s more, British Airways’ hand baggage policy also permits passengers a free allowance of one carry-on baggage of up to 23 kilograms, plus one laptop-sized bag, handbag or briefcase per customer to be carried on the aircraft.
British Airways also offers its Skyflyer Solo service for students under 18 years of age travelling on their own so that parents can be assured that their children have safe and fun flights. To celebrate what will be a summer to remember for the UK, British Airways is giving out new Olympics-themed entertainment packs to children on its flights.
